ARE DR. SCHOLL’S SHOES WORTH THE HYPE?

In short, yes. If you’re looking for a little more convincing, read on for a full review of all Dr. Scholl’s Shoes I own and my picks for the current collection are coming soon!

A little backstory… I first stumbled upon Dr. Scholl’s Shoes by complete accident. In 2019, I was in what felt like an endless autoimmune condition diagnosis process. All I knew was that my hands and feet ached and spent much time swollen. I went in search of new shoes appropriate for work with more support, and I landed on my first pair of Dr. Scholl’s Madison slip-ons that I purchased at Peeble’s. At the time, I didn’t know Dr. Scholl’s was making full collections of really impressive shoes, I thought I might have lucked into a small run made exclusively for department stores. After absolutely falling in love with my tan Madisons, I visited their site for the first time and was blown away with so many amazing options.

In the time since, Dr. Scholl’s Shoes has sent me a number of shoes to try and review from their most recent collections, but I continue to be a loyal, purchasing customer because the shoes really are that wonderful. Without question, their shoes are comfortable, stylish, and practical. They provide a modest price point, but have reasonable sales with good frequency and they make a product that lasts. Below, you’ll see that I currently own 12 pairs of Dr. Scholl’s Shoes. Over time, I’ve worn out a hand full of pairs and donated others I didn’t wear as often, but this selection makes up the majority of my day to day footwear. Sentinel Waterproof Hiker Bootie

Probably my most loved Fall and Winter Dr. Scholl’s purchase, this boot is my go-to for days on campus when weather is cold or wet. These boots have a slight heel, but are very cushioned with support. I like the high rise on the ankle, and they’re pretty much waterproof. Check out these boots here.

Beach Front Block Heel Sandal

These block heels are giving me so much sass! I love the bright yellow color, and how comfortable these heels are. I almost never wear heels, but the support on Dr. Scholl’s heels (especially wedges and block) make it so tolerable. I struggle with ankle straps rubbing my heel and causing blisters, but these are really soft and flexible. Check these heels here.

All In Lace Up Sneaker

These sneaks might seem like the most plain jane of my Dr. Scholl’s line up, but they are so versatile. I just picked them up from the Spring 2024 collection, and can’t wait to wear them when Kentucky weather clears up. I think they’ll look great with ripped jeans, but also with this brand new leopard slip dress I bought. Check out these shoes here.

Herzog Sustainable Sneaker

Active wear, say no more. These shoes are so lightweight and it is really impressive the steps Dr. Scholl’s has taken towards sustainability in making these. These shoes have rubbed the back of my heel a little bit, but that’s an especially sensitive area for me in all shoe shopping. Overall, they are extremely comfortable and perfect for the gym or running errands. Check out these shoes here.

Buena Medium/Wide Wedge Sandal

Hello summer! These sandals are part of the brand new 2024 collection are going to be staples in my summer wardrobe this year. A velcro ankle strap and a platform heel make these incredibly supportive and easy to move in. I can see this pair wearing down a little more quickly than others based on material, but that won’t stop getting me some great long-term wear. Check out these sandals.

Madison Slip On Sneaker

These tan slip-ons are the first ever Dr. Scholl’s purchase I describe above – but not this exact pair. One of our sweet fur children got ahold of my precious pair and ripped out the liners. I bought them again – they are that good! Because there is a fair amount of padding in these bad boys, I do recommend wearing no-show socks to avoid a little sweat! Check out my favorite shoes of all time here. And the leopard here.

The below gallery of shoes are some of my favorite older Dr. Scholl’s Shoes that are no longer listed on their site. The boots have both served me so well with work on campus – I’ve had both pairs for multiple seasons. The brown sandals are the perfect low-rise wedge for work and play. I’ve worn them at long Keeneland days, as well as walking to dinner on vacations. The sage green wedges were best sellers last summer – they have only two sizes left on the site now. See them here.
